FILM IN MALAYSIA INCENTIVE — FIMI
UP TO 35% CASH REBATE
The Film in Malaysia Incentive (FIMI), administered by FINAS — National Film Development Corporation Malaysia, provides a 30% cash rebate on qualifying Malaysian production expenditure (QMPE) for eligible productions, with an additional 5% available for qualifying productions that meet the applicable Malaysian cultural-test requirements — providing a potential rebate of up to 35%.
FIMI can make Malaysia an attractive production base for eligible Hollywood and international film productions, documentary films, feature films, television productions, commercials and other qualifying projects. Production eligibility, qualifying expenditure and rebate approval are subject to the applicable FINAS/FIMI requirements.
